Tennessee Walkers: the ride of your life String Ridge Stables Tennessee Walkers: Ride one today, own one tomorrow

Home of The Unexpected Star

String Ridge Stables is located in lovely Southeast Missouri.  We are a small operation--we strive for quality, not quantity.  We currently have two permanent residents, and one show mare that spends her winters with us.
Our permanent residents are Sport's Stroker Ace and Lady. The Unexpected Star spends her summers at Ramsey's Training Center in Farmington where she receives expert training from Tom Ramsey and attention and carrots from his wife and co-owner Ann.
Star and I show nearly every weekend in the summer.  We have enjoyed some success and believe this year will be no exception.  For our latest show results and information, click here.

Sport is a 15-year-old black gelding, registered walking and racking.  We've won many classed together, from youth country pleasure, to 3-gait classes.  He is now retired from the show ring, and spends his days grazing and just being a horse, with his pasture mate, Lady.

Lady is a bay mare. She's gaited, we're sure of that, but we don't really know what gait she has.  She's not registered, and we're not sure how old she is.  She was my first horse, and she taught me almost everything I know.  She has seen almost everything.

The Unexpected Star

The Unexpected Star is a five-year-old bay mare.  She is plantation shod, with some padded experience.  Her gait is totally natural, no soring techniques have ever been used on her.  She has been shown successfully for 2 years, and the 1999 show season will be one of her best ever.  She is in traning at Ramsey's Training Center, in Farmington, Mo.  Trainer, Tom Ramsey, has done wonders with her over the past two summers.
  Here's a picture of her:
