Family

My family is rather large and getting bigger each year. We are each unique; and even though we are miles away from each other, we care for one another.

My Parents: Paul Robert and Cecilia Deck
They were married on August 7, 1971.  They started their family in July 1972, when my oldest sister, Ella, was born. My mother is a registered nurse and works at a local hospital.  My father works at American Railway Industries in Jackson, Missouri.

Sisters: Ella Deck Vajnar and Patricia Deck

Ella: Birth date-July 28, 1972.  She is married to Curtis Vajnar and lives in Kansas.  They were married on May 2, 1998, and are preparing to welcome their first child into the world in August of this year.  Ella was the child who could always fix anything that was broken and was like a second mother to us.

Patricia: Birth date- July 2, 1978.  Patricia is currently a student at Southwest Missouri State University.  She is majoring in social work and trying to get by like any other college student.  Patricia is a very special sister to me. She helps me through situations and always has an opinion on my life whether I want to hear it or not.  I think out of all of us kids, Patricia is the hardest worker and has the best work ethics.

Brothers: Doug Deck, Bryan Deck, and Mark Deck

Doug: Birth date- July 29, 1974. Doug is engaged to be married to Sarah Smith.  They are going to be married on August 7, 1999.  They live about 35 minutes from our house. Doug went to college and is employed for TG-USA. He majored in Industrial Technology.  Doug is a great guy because he watches out for his siblings.

Bryan: Birth date- December 19, 1976. Bryan is engaged to be married to Traci Kirn.  They are also ready to welcome a son into the family.  They are due to have their first baby in May.  Bryan is employed at Thorngate Industries.  Bryan is the one in the family with the big heart. He would do anything for his friends or family and is willing to help anybody.

Mark: Birth date- September 13, 1982. Mark is my youngest sibling. He is also the one that I have shared the most conflicts with.  We tend to both be stubborn and have a temper. Mark is very intelligent and loves to find out how and why things happen. Though he is the youngest, he has added to the family by showing us that we can be independent in some things but always are part of a family.
